SOCIAL HOUSING BUILDING
HARNESSES SOLAR REVENUES FOR A
BRIGHT FUTURE
It is with great excitement that
Solar Tech Northern Lights Canada
Inc. announces the completion of
the first fully installed solar array
on a social housing building in the
Region of Peel.
Commissioned in November of
2011, Solar Tech Northern Lights
installed a 10kW three phase system
at 3023 Parkerhill Rd in Mississauga
Ontario. This building is owned and
operated by Pathway Non-Profit-
Community Housing Development
Inc. of Peel.
The project was entirely funded
through a government special
purpose grant and closely
coordinated through the Region of
Peel. The building was awarded a
twenty year OPA microFIT contract
and all revenue generated will help
to offset the impact of rising costs to
run the building.
The project represents three levels
of government collaborating together
for the mutual benefit of this social
housing building.
Solar Tech Northern Lights
Canada Inc. is an Ontario solar
developer and EPC contractor
focused on unique and community
rewarding projects. The company is
also currently developing the first
known 250kW solar canopy located
on a four level parking garage in the
Greater Toronto Area.
