GLOBAL RENEWABLES ONLINE - FEBRUARY / MARCH 2012
can reduce the number of casu-
alties.
On a long-term basis, if we
can reduce our reliance on oil,
we can improve international
relationships.
Our goal is to be using 50 per
cent renewable energy by 2020.
GRO: How do you facilitate
communications amongst
members?
TF: We host conferences,
webinars, and are available to
our members. Our role is to help
convene and advance the renew-
able sector. We also vet these
issues with decision-makers at
the Federal, State and local
levels.
Global energy is a global
market. We want to provide
thought leadership on all the
relevant issues and provide
additional forums as needed by
our members.

China, was sold out with over 85 executive participants
and 25 speakers, supporting organizations and sponsors.
The Workshop, hosted by the American Council On
Renewable Energy (ACORE) and the Chinese Renewable
Energy Industries Association (CREIA), addressed the
rapidly changing landscape of renewable energy and
infrastructure project development and finance in China,
and provided a perspective on future collaboration. It also
provided networking opportunities with leaders in the
field to discuss pending challenges, including the recent
