How important is cultivation of
the local workforce to BESTECH?
Trang Tran-Valade:
Cultivation
of a local workforce has always been
and continues to be a very impor-
tant aspect of our organization. Over
the years, we have offered numerous
co-op placements and internships to
students attending College Boreal,
Cambrian College, and Laurentian
University to help retain young skilled
resources within Northern Ontario;
many of which have transitioned to
full-time employment post graduation.
In addition to these efforts, we have
also reached out through our recruit-
ment efforts, to introduce out-of-town
talent to Northern Ontario and to en-
courage them in bringing their skills to
our community.
How important is it that
BESTECH continue to work with Ca-
nadian suppliers?
Trang Tran-Valade:
It is our pref-
erence to work with Canadian suppli-
ers. We are proud to be a Canadian-
owned and operated company and are
happy to do our part in boosting the
local economy and raising Canada’s
reputation as a leader in technology
and innovation.
