“We are proud to be associated with a number of community devel-
opment projects. One of the projects we are involved in at Lobi, Dedza,
Malawi in Africa is a solar powered irrigation project for local farmers
to grow fruits and vegetables,” the company says. Fortune is also
associated with the Mkokomo project. This is an initiative by Word
Alive Ministries, a church based in Blantyre Malawi. The project sup-
plies high quality bottled water to hotels and other customers in
Malawi.
“We are working with a local development fund, electrifying houses
in Malawi,” Savieli comments.
When it comes to having expertise in different areas of the world,
Fortune CP is well-equipped with experienced staff and looks forward
to developing renewable technologies globally. “It is more of a chal-
lenge in some areas of the world because the approval process takes
a long time for renewable energy projects. But the demand is very
high, and we continue to work in these areas,” Savieli concludes.
