Happy New Year to our valued readers!
We hope that 2013 is as prosperous, or mo-
reso, than 2012 was for you. At Industry Me-
dia, we will be sharing great news from inside
the walls of Canada’s greatest businesses all
year, and hopefully, your company is the next
one to be hosted in our pages.
There are some areas of the country that you
will see more representation from in the com-
ing months, including Canada’s Northern
regions, and cities and towns along the Can-
ada-U.S. border. This focus is important - as
some of the most critical changes to business
regulation will affect our dealings with the
U.S., and enterprise in the most remote parts
of Canada.
We want to draw your attention to the ex-
ploration, infrastructure, and energy proj-
ects that are going on all around us that you
might not realize have profound impacts on
the futures of thousands of people. Some of
these impacts are positive, some not. Our
spotlight this month is on Goldcorp’s Hol-
linger Project, a story that we’ve had our eye
on for a while, and one that intrigues because
it showcases how important community re-
lations are to doing business in Canada,
whether your business is big or small.
Until next month,
