A DEVOTED TEAM
We’re pretty serious about what
we do, and we’re not a fly by night
company. This means we have to have
a great staff,” Dee says. The company
currently employs about 20 people,
and although right now have the peo-
ple they need, sometimes hiring can be
a challenge with the draw of the Alber-
ta job market pulling Easterners away.
Believe it or not, sometimes it if hard
to fill the voids here,” Dee continues.
Dee has big plans for the future
of Eastern Sanitation. He says he has
no intent on retiring or selling any-
time soon, and the company is looking
at setting up its own recycling facil-
ity. “We are also studying the idea of
natural gas powered trucks,” he says,
which compliments the company’s
commitment to green.
How does a company like this
run with such a small staff, and con-
tinue to stay successful with so many
balls in the air? It truly is a devotion
to customers and the community. Says
Dee: “I just don’t say no very well.”
